Two-step verification and sign-in
Turn on two-step verification under Settings, Security. You'll scan a code with an authenticator app and save a set of one-time recovery codes somewhere safe; each recovery code works once if you lose your phone.
Sessions end after a period of inactivity and have an absolute limit. Changing your password, or choosing Sign out everywhere under Settings, Account, signs out every other device.
