Connecting Blackbaud
Blackbaud connects over OAuth 2.0 AC with a one-click authorization. nOS only ever reads from Blackbaud.
- Give the Blackbaud user who will sign in the roles below.
- If Connect with Blackbaud shows above, choose it, sign in as that user and approve nOS. You're done.
- Otherwise use your own SKY application: in the SKY Developer portal open My applications, register one, and add the Redirect URI below exactly.
- Open My subscriptions, add the School API, and paste its subscription key, the Application ID and an Application secret here.
- A Blackbaud user with the Marketplace permission connects your application (Marketplace → Manage → Connect app). Then choose Connect with Blackbaud.
Permissions to enable:
- SKY API Data Sync (required). Lets the user reach the API and your school levels.
- Platform Manager (required). Students and teachers.
- Academic Group Manager (required). Courses, classes and class rosters.
Blackbaud's School API has no course-request resource, so upload a Requests workbook for next year's choices. nOS only ever reads from Blackbaud.
